What is Team Building? Team building refers to an activity or event that teaches or improves skills and strengths of individuals or team, with a specific goal or a set of goals in mind.

Introduction involves prepping the group on the upcoming activity, introducing participants to each other and giving the instructions and rules on the activity.
Activity is the exercise where the team and its members participate and get involved in the assigned activity within the set parameters.
Debriefing happens in the end of the exercise. The organizer usually reports and reviews the performance of each team, pointing out high points and low points. Also, this is where the organizer explains the purpose of the activity and recognizes where each individual or team excelled or missed the point.
Team building has become an integral part of small businesses and organizations wherein a large collection of people are grouped together. Most businesses hire consultants and set events to promote team building.
Team building has been around for many years but only in the past decade has it been used to integrate team thinking not only in sports and corporations but in a larger range of businesses and enterprises.
Team building promotes problem solving, teamwork, communication and collaboration. Team builders on the internet took these concepts of team building and applied it to creating downline builder programs.
